Gymnastics within the US is governed by USA Gymnastics and SafeSport.

Athletes and their communities are able to report alleged abuse and misconduct to SafeSport, USA Gymnastics, or both. Both SafeSport and USA Gymnastics allow anonymous reports to be made. 

It should be noted that if you’re reporting sexual abuse or misconduct, it will most likely be SafeSport who handles the report and that USA Gymnastics may file a report with SafeSport if you haven’t already done so.

At intake, USA Gymnastics assigns each incident report a tier between 1 and 5. The assigned tier number then determines USA Gymnastics’ next steps. You can read more about their tier system here.
